The Optimal ISX Energy Monitoring Solution

Optimals ISX is a hosted, web based remote monitoring solution providing access to all utility consumption, environmental and system status data from any number of locations.

It provides an paper free record of historic data for regulatory compliance or billing and immediate alerts against exception criteria, helping cost control, improve service and reduce waste.  It can be used to enhance any existing building infrastructure to provide secure web access to consolidated property performance data.

As a hosted service, delivering information via the web, there is no back office system to maintain oro large initial investment.  The optimal ISX provides a cost-effective solution, monitoring hundreds of locations or just one.

Alarm Management

The optimal monitoring system provides an inbuilt alarm functions facilitating the delivery of exception reporting via e-mail and SMS messaging.

Management of alarms is separated into two key sets of uses; those who can define alarm conditions and recipients who can view alarm history and clear raised alarms.

Authorised users are able to create alarm recipients and groups of recipients and define alarm conditions based upon level, variance, day and time.

Once raised, the alarm is automatically despatched to the associated recipients, who may be office staff during working hours or external engineers at any other time.  These users can then access the system to clear the raised alarm, logging details of actions taken for auditing and compliance.

User Management

The system provides multiple user support granting various levels of access, from a simple base of your two for system administrators able to view data, create alarms, clear raised alarms and manage user accounts.

Authorised users are able to create and manage access to the system online, creating and managing users within their assigned set of monitoring sites and points.  Uses can be created who can:

• Simply view collected data
• view alarm history and clear raised alarms
• configure alarm recipients and alarm conditions
• manage user accounts

Each increased access level inherits the ability of the lower levels automatically

Data views

The system can be accessed from any Web browser given the correct username and password with no need to install applications on the PC all device.

Data can be viewed online or downloaded for off-line analysis.  Many viewing and data comparison options are available including;

Reporting

Periodic custom reporting is available via e-mail to address the specific need of diverse end user requirements and abilities, presenting the data in a way that makes sense and adds value.

Data Collection

A major barrier to remote monitoring is the costs of installation.  To minimise this cost ISX uses battery operated licence exempt low power radio probes to collect data and transmit it back to an on-site collection device.

A logging device, located at each site, collates and relays the data back to the optimal data centre where it is processed and presented via a secure web interface.

Each radio probe has an expected battery life of up to 10 years and utilises licence exempt transmissions in the 434 MHz frequency band.

Repeaters and high-powered transmitters are also available to extend the operating range of site equipment if required.  All optimal systems are also approved for Pan European operation.

Project Management

Optimal can provide for end to end project management and fulfilment of work with your existing service team as required.

They provide comprehensive in a life service management, National maintenance and service coverage and the dedicated customer support desk.

The system is hosted at their central datacentre and communication links have full redundancy and complete disaster recovery contingency.
