Using communications to increase your customer base.
Although we specialise in "tele"communications, there is one aspect of communications which is not exploited that can have a major impact on your bottom line.Using digital communications isn't always about physical hardware. It is imperative you look at different methods of contacting your customers, clients, members, prospects or patients. Whoever they are, they need to be aware of your
Presence.It is important that you consider the method and frequency of contacting your followers or "tribe". As we all know, cold calling is not only passé it has become one of the most unwelcome business activities which returns the worst ROI's going.
If you were able to increase your exposure to business or your "tribe" on a consistent basis without increasing your headcount you would probably jump at the chance.
Mastering the art of digital marketing is wonderfully inexpensive although a little time consuming, however, the rewards are exceptional. Pareto's law, the 80:20 rule, comes into play and allows you to decide how you want to develop your organisation.
In simple terms, you need to start with the basics of compiling a newsletter, nothing like War and peace, but something that your customers will recognize as the genuine helpful publication that isn't simply another mailshot.
Think of specific helpful examples of how your business, product or service actually helps them.
The systems available that can automatically deliver newsletters, e-mail and flyers on demand all sequentially. As you may be aware, we are now in an age where we are devouring information. When we want information, we want it immediately and we want it to be relevant.
It takes between, seven to 10 connections with a new customer before they begin to recognize your name. Most organisations give up after three attempts! Not only that, two out of three miss the mark, get lost, are deleted or simply don't get through for whatever reason. This means you need to plan for at least 25 to 30 separate communications with your prospective customers.
It's important that you bear this in mind especially as "tele" communications equipment is key to assiting in projecting your message and managing any increase in bsiness activity.
