Basic Solution
Ideal for individual users or it can be installed at a number of extensions. Calls can be stored and retrieved either locally or from a network location or server. Typically, 1Gb stores up to 800 hours of recorded calls. Connection is via the sound card on your PC.

Integrated with your Database
CRM software products, eg GoldMine/Front Range, have 3rd party systems available which connect the handset cord to a sound card microphone socket allowing you to:
dial the telephone number from the PC screen record the conversation then place the recorded .wav call in the history of the relevant contact for ease of access.

Encrypted
Encryption software also integrates with databases but additionally allows the recordings to be encrypted and compressed.
Encrypted recordings are the only type admissible as evidence in court as it is possible to tamper with .wav recordings.
.wav recordings take up 1Mb for one minute of recording so compressed, encrypted files help sensible storage.
